olivetalks travels quite a bit. Maybe not the page itself, but its olives certainly do. When going to a new place, you are always going to find things that call your attention, if not shock you. These things are not necessarily wrong or bad, but because of your upbringing or experience, they might come as a surprise. This has happened to us in a number of occasions in different cities, so we have decided to write a series of posts on “weird” things seen in different places of the world. Now, their intention is not to make fun or criticize any city nor its inhabitants, just point out what, to a non-local, seems bizarre. If we share a few laughs on the way, then even better. We are already writing up the lists for Jena (Germany) and Dublin (Ireland). We’ll post them as soon as we finish polishing them up.

Furthermore, we’ll be accepting contributions from anybody who’d like to share their list of weird things they’ve seen anywhere in the world. We can either invite you to olivetalks as a guest blogger (you will retain full credits, of course) or just let us know where have you posted the list and we will comment on it in olivetalks!

So, you’ve been informed. “10 weirdest things I’ve seen in… Jena (Germany)” coming soon!

this should be fun… :) you might want to consider “10-weirdest-things I’ve seen in Tunja/Bogotá (Colombia)”… I know we only spent around ten days there but, are you going to tell me you can’t come up with 10 things?? ;)
